Youth Transition Assistance Program (YTAP)
Today young people take far longer to reach economic and social maturity than their contemporaries did five or six decades ago. Young people are now taking longer to leave home, attain economic independence, marry, and form families of their own. Youth Transition Assistance program (YTAP) is devised to assist young people to surf in the wave of adversities associated with youthhood thereby easing their transition to adulthood. YTAP directs its effort on areas that young people often experience problems such as education, health, sustainable livelihood and gender equality. By reducing youth vulnerability in those areas, this program accelerates normal transition by promoting their participation in various areas such as education, work and public arena.
